- 8 oz medium pasta shells
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 190C 375F
Follow the directions on the package to cook the pasta
For the last two minutes of cooking, add the broccoli
Remove the water and set it aside
Warm cooking spray in a big pan over medium-high heat
It will take about 5 to 7 minutes of cooking after adding the diced chicken until the chicken is no longer pink
Take it out of the pan and set it aside
Over medium heat, melt the butter in the same pan
Add the flour and stir constantly for one minute
Mix in the milk slowly while whisking
This should take about two to three minutes
Salt and pepper should be added now
Turn down the heat and add the cheddar cheese shreds
Mix the sauce and cheese together until the sauce is smooth
To the cheese sauce, add cooked chicken, broccoli, and pasta that has already been cooked
Mix it all together until it's well covered
Put the mixture in a baking dish that has been greased
After the oven is hot, bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden
Enjoy while hot!
